From a Backyard Grill to a Community Institution
Wing Snob started in 2016 when founder Marcus Rivera set up a grill at a neighborhood block party in Mt Prospect, IL. Armed with a secret marinade recipe passed down from his grandmother and an obsessive eye for the perfect crisp, Marcus served wings that had the whole block talking.
By 2017, demand had grown so much that Marcus leased a small kitchen space on W Golf Rd and officially opened Wing Snob's doors. The concept was simple but uncompromising: source the freshest chicken, hand-craft every sauce in-house, and treat every customer like a neighbor — because in Mt Prospect, they usually are.
Today, Wing Snob is Mt Prospect's go-to destination for premium wings, bold flavors, and a dining experience that feels like home. We've grown our menu, expanded our team, and deepened our roots in the community — but the heart of what we do has never changed.

The Backyard Beginning
Marcus Rivera serves his grandmother's secret-recipe wings at a neighborhood block party in Mt Prospect. The crowd's reaction confirms: this needs to be a restaurant.
Wing Snob Opens Its Doors
We open our first location at 1713A W Golf Rd with a tight menu of 8 signature sauces and a mission to serve the freshest wings in Illinois.
Sauce Lab Launched
We invest in a dedicated sauce development kitchen, expanding our lineup from 8 to 20+ house-made sauces and introducing seasonal specials.
Community Award Winner
Wing Snob is named Mt Prospect's "Best Local Restaurant" by the community business association for the second year running.
Catering & Franchise Program
